When an ad account is restricted, the fastest response is not always the best response. Repeated appeals without resolving the underlying issue can make the situation harder to explain. Start by identifying whether the problem belongs to the user profile, Business Portfolio, ad account, payment method, page, domain or advertised product.

1. Confirm business identity and ownership

Business details should be consistent across Meta, the advertiser's website and supporting documents. Review the legal name, address, domain ownership, contact information and the people who have administrative access.

  • Remove unknown users and outdated partners.
  • Enable two-factor authentication for administrators.
  • Verify that the domain and business details belong to the same operating entity.
  • Avoid frequent changes to core ownership information during review.

2. Review the product and advertising claims

High-risk claims often appear in health, finance, employment, income opportunity, cosmetics and personal attribute advertising. Check headlines, video captions, before-and-after framing, urgency language and implied guarantees.

Important: an agency account does not remove the advertiser's responsibility to follow Meta policy. Account structure is not a substitute for compliant products, creative and landing pages.

3. Compare the ad with the landing page

The promise in the ad should match the offer on the destination page. Price, product, discount, shipping terms and expected result should be clear. Pages with hidden subscription terms, misleading countdown timers or missing contact information create trust problems.

4. Check website trust signals

  • Company identity and reachable contact details
  • Privacy, return, shipping and terms pages
  • Secure checkout and clear payment expectations
  • Consistent product descriptions and pricing
  • Functional mobile pages without aggressive redirects

5. Prepare a factual review request

Document what happened, what was changed and why the business now meets the relevant requirement. Keep the explanation concise. Include only accurate information and use the review channel provided in the account.

6. Reduce future operational risk

Use role-based access, maintain a change log, review new creative before launch, monitor payment health and keep business documents current. A stable process is more valuable than repeatedly replacing accounts.
